This spring, Umpqua Bank will close two of its branches in Lewis County. Umpqua Bank currently has three locations in Lewis County — Chehalis, Centralia and Winlock. After this spring, however, only the Chehalis branch will remain open.

The Oakville branch will also close in Grays Harbor County.

Umpqua Bank sent a letter to its Centralia clients this week announcing the branch will close April 4. Umpqua Bank also sent a letter to its Winlock clients announcing that that branch will close March 26. Neither letter was dated. External Communications Manager at Umpqua Bank Kurt Heath did not respond to request for comment last week.

“Over the last decade, more people are choosing to bank digitally rather than going into Umpqua stores,” both letters read in part. “Many of you have asked for more convenient ways to connect, especially on the go.”
