Satsop Business Park nets job creator award for addition of Overstock.com call center

Washington Public Ports Association presented award at spring meeting in May

The Port of Grays Harbor’s Satsop Business Park was the recipient of the Washington Public Ports Association’s Outstanding Job Creator Award at the association’s spring meeting at Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum held May 17-19. The award recognizes the project that creates jobs for its community, including the quality and impact of said jobs.

“We are extremely proud to accept this award and do so on behalf of the entire team of partners that helped make the Overstock.com project a reality,” said Satsop Business Development Manager Alissa Shay. “The jobs created by Overstock’s decision to locate at Satsop will certainly have a meaningful and lasting impact for the region and we look forward to their continued success here in Grays Harbor.”

Overstock.com’s call center takes began operations in early May, only five months after the company signed a lease for 20,000 square feet of office space in the Satsop Business Park. The center employs 150 people.
