McDermoth, Cosi crowned co-elementary school hoops champs

The McDermoth Bulldogs and Cosmopolis Cougars were crowned co-champions of the boys basketball elementary school season after a tournament held last week at Aberdeen High School.

McDermoth and Cosmopolis each navigated through the three-day, 11-team double-elimination tournament with just one loss apiece.

The tournament, which ran from Thursday through Saturday, featured nine teams from Aberdeen and two from Hoquiam.

Cosmopolis ended the season with a 12-1 record while McDermoth finished 12-2.
