Ridgway, Winter named co-league MVPs of 1A Evergreen All-League Football Team

Montesano takes three of league’s top four awards

The undefeated Montesano Bulldogs took three of the top four awards as the 1A Evergreen League All-League teams were named earlier this week.

Winning the coveted league Most Valuable Player award were Bulldogs teammates Trace Ridgway and Sam Winter.

Ridgway let Montesano’s high-powered offense from his quarterback position and also started at linebacker for the league-champion Bulldogs.

Winter has been Ridgway’s go-to receiver this year and also has multiple interceptions from his linebacker spot.

Winning the Defensive MVP award was Monte linebacker Brent Hollatz and head coach Terry Jensen and his staff were honored with the league’s Coaching Staff of the Year award.

Hoquiam wide receiver Cameron Bumstead was named the 1A Evergreen Offensive MVP. The senior wideout currently has 65 catches for 1,043 yards and 12 touchdowns this season.
