Ocosta 55, North Beach 30

Ocosta jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in a 55-30 win over North Beach on Saturday in Ocean Shores.

The Wildcats (13-4) held an 11-point lead over the Hyaks (3-16) after one period of play thanks to six different players recording a field goal in the frame.

Ocosta outscored North Beach 19-2 in the second quarter to take a commanding 36-10 lead at halftime.

“We got off to a good start, moving the ball around and playing good defense,” Ocosta head coach Jason Quinby said. “We started off strong again in the third before turning the game over to our younger guys to finish it out. I was happy to see that we got back to rebounding the heck out of the ball, which enabled us to get out backs and keep North Beach from finding a rhythm.”
