CHEHALIS — Aberdeen won seven events in an Evergreen 2A Conference dual track meet Wednesday at Chehalis.
Chehalis swept team honors, winning the boys meet, 104-41 and the girls meet, 104-38.
Faith Cardenas captured all three one-lap non-hurdles races for Aberdeen’s girls. She took the 100 meters in 13.48, the 200 in 14.16 and the 400 in 27.8.
Aberdeen junior Bryan Sidor came from behind to take both the boys 100 and 400 meters, with personal-best times of 11.56 and 54.05, respectively.
Senior Gordon Shaw also rallied to capture the boys 3,200 meters. He rallied in the final 100 meters to overtake Chehalis’ Francisco Lima with a time of 10:59.67.
Freshman Annetthe Orona had a personal-best 4-6 to take the girls high jump.
“For a cold and rainy day, we had many personal and season records,” Bobcat coach April Meissner reported.
In addition to the event winners, she cited Jeshua Manwell and Karli Heikkila for strong performances.
The Bobcats will host Black Hills and Centralia in a league meet April 12 and will stage the Ray Ryan Memorial All-County Championships on April 15.
