Lonnie Dale Taylor, 92, passed away on May 16, 2023, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born on Sept. 16, 1930, in Huntsville (Marble), Arkansas to Dale and Hazel Taylor.

His family left Arkansas when he was young and moved to Fullerton, California where he graduated high school in 1948. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served aboard the U.S.S. Princeton Aircraft Carrier during the Korean War. Upon discharge from the Navy, he eloped to Tunica, Mississippi where he married Peggy Baldwin, from Wichita, Kansas. Together they enjoyed 55 years of loving marriage. During their marriage they lived in Aberdeen, Washington, where they welcomed their daughter, Cindy. They also lived in Anaheim, California; Hoquiam, Washington and back to Aberdeen, Washington, before retiring to Lake Havasu City, Arizona in 2000.

Lonnie had many interests which gave him a vast employment background. He was a welder; worked for Western Steel in Aberdeen, Washington; he ran a logging business with his father, finally retiring at age 70 from the Port of Grays Harbor, as Maintenance Supervisor.

After the loss of his beloved wife Peggy, in 2008, he met Linda Josephsen, his significant other and companion of 14 years. Together they enjoyed karaoke with friends and family, plus traveling and cruises. At the age of 90, he learned through DNA testing with Ancestry.com that he had a son, Timothy and grandchildren.

Lonnie enjoyed dancing lessons with his wife; car show competition with his Jaguar XJ12; serving on the board for the Lady Washington Replica Tall Ship in Grays Harbor, Washington; long boat rowing competition (Lady Washington); outrigger canoe competition in the senior division with Lake Havasu Outrigger Canoe Club.

He was a member of the VFW; Foreign Legion; Elks, Moose; Lake Havasu Outrigger Canoe Club and was an Elder at the First Christian Church in Hoquiam, Washington and United Christian Church, Aberdeen, Washington.

Lonnie is survived by his significant other Linda Josephsen; daughter, Cindy Taylor; son, Timothy Johnston; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
