It is with great sadness that we mourn the untimely passing of Lavone Frances (Gallington) Jamtaas of Spokane, Washington, on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at the age of 54 years.

She was born June 2, 1967, in Aberdeen, Washington.

In her adolescence, Lavone enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandmother, Ida.

She attended school in Aberdeen.

Lavone was very social and had many friends. She was known for her kindness and giving spirit. A few years after high school Lavone started working night shift at the B Street 7-Eleven in Aberdeen, where she later met Eddie Reames. The two began a relationship and not long after, the couple welcomed their daughter Chelsey in August of 1990. She worked for B & B Appliances as a sales associate in South Aberdeen and enjoyed the flexible hours and support needed for single motherhood.

Lavone met Bryon Jamtaas at a social gathering. The two were married in 1998. The following year they were blessed with twin girls, Erika and Tyara. She spent her time as a dedicated stay-at -home mother. Lavone’s greatest joy was raising her three daughters and creating a loving home. Lavone was known for her cooking and baking. She found great joy in family dinners and holiday gatherings.

Years later the family relocated to Spokane, Washington. She worked as a property manager. Byron and Lavone were married for 24 years.

Lavone will be remembered for her infectious laugh, practical jokes and radical ‘80s hair and fashion, and of course her famous fried chicken.

Lavone is survived by her husband, Bryon Jamtaas, and daughters: Chelsey Reames, Tyara and Erika Jamtaas: grand-daughter, Adrianna Reames, mother Arlene; siblings: Susie Tynan, Tom Bishop, Greg Gallington, Mark Gallington, Sandy McFadden and Doug Gallington, and many nieces and nephews.
