Larry Dean Dunston, 80 years of age and a resident of Elma, Washington for the past 20 years, died on Friday, April 17, 2020, at his Elma home.

Larry Dean Dunston, 80 years of age and a resident of Elma, Washington, for the past 20 years, died on Friday, April 17, 2020, at his Elma home. He was born in August 16, 1939, in St. Helena, California, to Boyd and Beth (Fuller) Dunston.

He was raised and attended school in Yuba, California, and enjoyed running track while in school. He had been a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Following his high school graduation, he began working in the title insurance field for most of his working life. He had worked at First American Title Company and was later a long-haul truck driver.

Larry Dean Dunston was married to the love of his life, Marjorie Gallington, on April 5, 1968, in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, and they made their home in Spokane, Washington, prior to moving to Elma.

He volunteered at the Moose Lodge. His travels had taken the family to Hawaii, Alaska, Mexico and Arizona. He enjoyed playing golf and camping at the ocean. He fondly remembered the birth of his children. He wanted to be remembered for all of his happy memories and at the memorial service the be held later, he does not want tears of sadness.

Larry Dunston is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marjorie Dunston; his sons, Daryel Dunston, Dennis Dunston, Darrin Dunston and Curtis Dunston; his daughters, Karen Ridenour, Bonnie Goyen and Connie Hobbs; 27 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his son, Mel Hobbs.

A celebration of his life will be held later at the Montesano Moose Lodge.
