Two rescued from surf in Ocean Shores

Two people were plucked from the surf off Ocean Shores Thursday by Ocean Shores Police Department personnel.

Photos taken by Ocean Shores resident Skip Radcliffe show uniformed officers entering the surf to bring in two individuals who were stuck beyond the surf line. Officers threw lines to the victims, who were hauled ashore. It appeared the two were on a kayak which had overturned.

As they were brought ashore they were helped by officers up the beach. There were no further details available from the Ocean Shore Police Department by press time Friday.
