Juanita “Nita” L Chambers passed away on March 21, 2021, at Grays Harbor Health and Rehab, where she had resided for the past three years.

Nita was born to Archie and Rosie Vincamp on May 21, 1943, in Aberdeen. She was a graduate of Aberdeen High School.

She married the love of her life, Johnny A. Chambers. They enjoyed a few wonderful years until he was sent to Vietnam, where he was killed in action. Nita never remarried.

Nita moved in with her mother and cared for her until her mother’s death.

Nita was very active in the Aberdeen VFW Auxiliary for over 40 years. She was also an avid pool player and played on many various pool teams. She also won women’s state championship one year. She also enjoyed playing bingo.

A celebration of life for Nita and her nephew Al Michelbrink will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 17, at the Aberdeen VFW.
