Ingrid Joan Fackrell, age 87, a lifetime resident of Aberdeen, died on May 23, 2022, at Harbor Regional Hospital in Aberdeen. Mrs. Fackrell was born at the family home in Aberdeen on Oct. 4, 1934, to Knute and Anna (Espedal) Haukeli.

She attended Aberdeen schools, graduating from Aberdeen High School in 1952. She then obtained her associate degree from Grays Harbor College. She had worked as a bookkeeper until becoming the Treasurer of the Port of Grays Harbor, retiring in 1991.

She and Dan J. Fackrell were married on July 2, 1955, in Aberdeen. The couple lived in the same home for 61 years.

Ingrid loved family outings and get togethers. Her home was a focal point for neighbors to come and visit on her front porch. She was a lifetime member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church (now Amazing Grace Lutheran Church).

Surviving relatives include three daughters, Joan Lesman of Elma, Mary (Clark) Butler of Sammamish, Washington and Sharon Schermer of Union, Washington; six grandchildren: Jody (Jeremy) Bogar of McCleary, Kate (Erik) Anderson of Las Vegas, Bradley Butler of Bozeman, Montana; Cameron Butler of Las Vegas, Jane Ingrid Schermer of Kirkland and Rachael Schermer of Union; and one great-grandchild, Brody Bogar.

A sister, Esther Maddox and three brothers: Robert, Arne and John Haukeli died previously.

A celebration of life will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2022, at the family home.

Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
