Elizabeth “Liz” Hart Bubnick

Liz passed away on May 4, 2020 at Brookdale Olympia West.

Liz passed away on May 4, 2020, at Brookdale Olympia West. She was 95 years old. Elizabeth was born at home in Hoquiam on September 21, 1924 to Florence Payne James from Great Britain and Willis James from Missouri, USA.

Elizabeth was married to Frank Hart Jr. for 30 years. They had two daughters Nancy (Terry) Campbell and Teresa (Jeff) Bowers.

Liz treasured all her grandchildren. Tiffany (Nick) Randich, Cortney (Elton) McCoy, Justin Bowers, Todd (Rebecca) Campbell, Graham (Susie) Campbell, and Ryan (Brianna) Campbell. She also had ten great-grandchildren Adara (Tyler) Sloan, Danica Randich, Tiana Bowers, Dorrian Bowers, Lawson Campbell, Chase Campbell, Cameron Campbell, Cruz Campbell, Colton Campbell, and Finley Campbell. Liz also has one great-great-grandson, Baby Luke Sloan.

Liz was one of ten children and is survived by one brother, David Jennings.

Later in life she married Dr. Frank Bubnick who passed away in 1993.

Elizabeth graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1940. For years Elizabeth was a realtor and at one time was the president of the Ladies Realtor Association. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a member of the Altar Society. Liz took great pride in her cooking and baking skills. During the holidays Liz delivered plates of fudge and pastries to friends and family and those in need. The holidays were her favorite time of year.

Liz was an avid Husky Football and Track fan. She loved watching all of her grandchildren participate in all their activities and sports (Cheerleading, football, track, wrestling, swimming, volleyball, fastpitch, and baseball). Grandma Liz, “GL,” was their biggest fan.

Elizabeth will be deeply missed by all who knew her and will live on forever in the hearts of her family.

HEAVEN HAS GAINED AN AMAZING ANGEL

Due to the current pandemic there will be no public service. However, the family had a private Catholic Blessing and celebration of her life.
