Moclips man shot, killed in Moclips Monday, person of interest sought

A Moclips man was shot and killed during an altercation involving three people in Moclips Monday evening and the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a woman it says is a person of interest in the investigation.

The victim is 36-year-old Zachary Christensen, according to Undersheriff Brad Johansson. A little before 6 p.m., deputies were called to the Grays Harbor Fire District 8 station at Moclips where Christensen was taken in a private car after the shooting. He was then taken to Grays Harbor Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

“Deputies and detectives contacted witnesses and determined that an altercation involving three people took place on Otis Avenue in Moclips,” said Johansson. “During the physical altercation a gun was fired and Christensen was fatally struck.”

Investigators are looking for Lareciana “Lala” Broussard-James, described as female, 5-foot-9-inches tall and 205 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
