Garth Byasse Sr.

Aberdeen resident Garth A Byasse Sr., 54, died Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Harbor Regional Health Community Hospital.

Cremation arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.

Audrey (Shinners) Smith

Audrey Lorraine (Shinners) Smith, a former longtime teacher at Miller Jr. High School in Aberdeen, died Wednesday, March 15, 2023 in Olympia. She was 103.

Per her request, there will be no services. She will be inurned at Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen with her husband.

Cremation arrangements are by Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen.

Douglas J. Washburn

Douglas Jay Washburn, an enrolled member of the Quinault Indian Nation, died Monday, March 20, 2023, at Grays Harbor Health and Rehab Center in Aberdeen. He was 65.

He was a Quinault Indian Nation police officer, later becoming captain and later then worked for the Department of Fish, Game and Wildlife.

It was his request to not have a formal service but a dinner will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, at the Taholah Community Center.

Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

Leo Krebs

Leo “Jack” Krebs, 85 of Hoquiam, died Monday, March 20, 2023. A service is being planned for a later date.

Burial arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.
