Longtime resident Colleen C. Moore entered her heavenly home on Nov. 18, 2022.

Colleen Cora Moore was born on Jan. 24, 1932. She was born in the Elma Hospital to parents William R. Moore (Bunny) and Bessie Moore. She spent her entire life living in Elma, Washington.

Colleen is the oldest of five siblings. She attended Elma schools and graduated in 1950. She married her high school sweetheart Donald E. Moore on March 3 , 1951, at the Elma United Methodist Church.

She was a volunteer Gray Lady at the Oakhurst Sanatorium and volunteered at the church.

Colleen and Don had five children and after they were older she attended St. Martin’s College and graduated with a teaching degree. She taught elementary school in the Elma School District until her retirement.

She enjoyed art and making different pieces of art. She enjoyed traveling with her family and attending events that her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were involved in. She loved birds and colorful fingernails.

She is survived by her brother Phillip (Judy) Moore, sisters: Jody (George) Riches and Candy Pittman, sons: Tracy Moore, Terry (Lois) Moore and Tom (Cheri) Moore; and daughters: Tina (John) Niels and Teresa (Tom) Boling. She was preceded in death by her parents: Bunny and Bessie Moore, her brother Jon Moore and her husband: Donald E. Moore.

A celebration of life will be held at the Elma Methodist Church on Dec. 11 at 2 p.m.. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to the Elma Methodist Church P.O Box 458, Elma, WA 98541.
