Clarice Dawn Jackson, 83, went to her heavenly home on Aug. 15, 2021, after complications from dementia.

Clarice Dawn Jackson, 83, went to her heavenly home on Aug. 15, 2021, after complications from dementia. Her firm belief in God helped her in the struggle with her disease and gave her peace.

Clarice was born to the late Melvin and Mabel Berg in Melrose, Wisconsin on Aug. 20, 1937.

As a young child, Clarice moved with her parents to Washington state residing in Hoquiam and then Central Park.

Clarice graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1955.

In 1956, she met Alvin H. Jackson, and they were married on Oct. 20, 1956 in Aberdeen, Washington. Alvin passed away in 2009.

Clarice worked as the secretary for Grays Harbor County Water District #2 in Central Park for over 30 years. She was an active member of Calvary Lutheran Church.

Clarice is survived by her daughters: Rene Black, Debbie French (Doug) and Dawn Jackson (Les Blue); her grandchildren: Heidi McKinney (Nate), Rachel Richardson (Erik), Emily Shute (Ryan Fieldsend) and Jacob Black; her great-grandson Easton McKinney; and sisters-in-law Betty Bentow of Aberdeen and Lynn Jackson of Minnesota.

There will be a memorial service on Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church in Aberdeen.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church and PAWS of Grays Harbor.
