Bonnie Joan Fuhrer passed away due to cancer on April 20, 2022, in Olympia, Washington. She was born Dec. 17, 1930, to John and Alma Anglin in Salem, Oregon. She also lived in Aberdeen, Washington, from 1958 to 2010.

Bonnie married Paul Fuhrer on Sept. 10, 1947, in Salem, Oregon, and they shared a wonderful 72 years together. Bonnie loved being a wife and mother. She also owned Home Spun Shop in Aberdeen for 20 years, which supported her love of knitting and sewing. Bonnie and Paul traveled in their trailer in the winters, and eventually purchased a home in Desert Hot Springs. The last eight years, Bonnie loved to play bingo and other activities at Capital Place Community in Olympia.

In 1957, Bonnie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, where she faithfully served and helped with the youth. She taught Sunday School, served in the Good News Club for Kids, and hosted Bible studies for adults.

Bonnie is survived by her sons, Gary Fuhrer (Shery) and Brad Fuhrer (Maureen); daughter, Gwen Jones (Ed); six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Fuhrer; granddaughter, Amy Fuhrer; and great-granddaughter, Britton Ishmael.

Services will be held Friday, May 20, 2022, 12:00 noon, at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1200 Soule Ave., Hoquiam, WA 98550.
