Total closure planned for SR 108 in Kamilche

State Route 108 in Kamilche will be closed around the clock from 6 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, to 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 16, at milepost 11 as crews working for Puget Sound and Pacific Railroad make upgrades to the railroad crossing, according to the Department of Transportation.

The work includes creating a much smoother ride for drivers as they cross the tracks, according to the Department of Transportation.

Signed detours will be provided. Semi trucks will detour via Highway 101 and State Route 8. Businesses along the route will remain open during the closure. Construction and travel updates for the area are available online at www.wsdot.wa.gov/travel/construction-updates/kitsap-mason#mason.
