James Joesten plays an electric guitar with serious flare late Wednesday morning at Guitar Galactica. The 20-year-old guitarist, who played some serious licks, from Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” to Nirvana’s “Come As You Are” and Metallica’s “Blackened,” made his first music purchase — Nirvana’s “In Utero,” album. Joesten bought his first instrument, a clarinet, at the former Rosevear’s Music Center in downtown Aberdeen.

The city of Aberdeen, through Aberdeen Code Enforcement, issued a notice on Thursday, June 1 about the shopping carts that used to be stationed outside Aberdeen Timberland Library — 121 E.
