Ocosta School District teacher arrested for alleged child molestation

A concerned parent contacted law enforcement, prompting the investigation.

The Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office arrested a teacher for alleged offenses against children on Friday.

The office was contacted late Thursday, carrying out a rapid investigation and making an arrest Friday, said Chief Criminal Deputy Jason Wecker.

“We got a report from a concerned parent who brought it to our attention. Our detectives went out and started our investigation,” Wecker said in an interview. “One of our detectives talked to the kids involved and gathered enough information for probable cause.”

Wade Eric Iseminger was booked into the Grays Harbor County Jail on Friday evening for charges of second-degree child molestation. Iseminger is listed on the district’s website as a sixth grade teacher.

“The Ocosta School District does not comment on ongoing investigations or personnel matters,” said Superintendent Heather Sweet in a phone interview.

The investigation is ongoing, Wecker said.
