SOUTH BEND — The Pacific County Emergency Management Agency and the Washington Emergency Management Division will conduct two sessions of an Earthquake and Tsunami Roadshow on Wednesday, April 12.
The presentations will include earthquake and tsunami risk, actions you can take to be prepared (including tsunami evacuation planning), and information about whole community notifications.
Presenters will include, Dr. Brian Atwater from the U.S. Geological Survey, Ted Buehner, from the National Weather Service, Tim Walsh, Assistant State Geologist, Washington Department of Natural Resources, Corina Forson, Chief Hazard Geologist, Washington DNR, and Maximilian Dixon, Earthquake/Tsunami Program Manager, Washington State Emergency Management Division.
The first presentation will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Ilwaco Community Center. The second event will begin at 6 p.m. at Peninsula Senior Center in Ocean Park.
