Body of deceased male found in Pacific County

Sheriff’s deputies, responding to a report of a suspicious person at a business near the intersection of State Route 4 and State Route 401, discovered the body of a male in some tall grass near the business.

The reporting party said the man was in the same area about a day earlier. The area was closed off for several hours while the scene was processed for evidence.

The death is still being investigated, though it appears there was no criminal activity involved.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Washington State Patrol and the Long Beach Police Department. The identity of the deceased is not being released at this time pending notification of next of kin.
