The City of Aberdeen is seeking volunteers for its annual Aberdeen Beautification Day cleanup May 5.
People of all ages and abilities are welcome to join in the cleanup, which runs from 8-11:30 a.m. Sign up forms are available at City Hall, on the city’s Parks and Recreation Facebook page, and on The Daily World Facebook page. Check in will be at City Hall, 200 E. Market St.; parking is available at Anchor Bank and Key Bank. Volunteers will be assigned to a “captain” and a specific block to work on. The area of focus is on Wishkah Street and Heron Street from F Street to L Street.
Volunteers will be provided with tools, flowers and light refreshments. Volunteers should bring their own gloves, small hand tools, hand trimmers and sunscreen if needed.
