Police Dog Ronin graduates

Aberdeen Police Department’s four-legged crime fighter, Police Dog Ronin, has completed his 400 hours of training and is hitting the streets.

Ronin and his handler, Officer Chad Pearsall, trained as a team in Kitsap County for four months and passed their Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commision Police K9 Certification Test. Ronin is now certified and ready to be deployed.

Ronin, age 2, is a shelter rescue dog from King County. He is trained to track suspects, search for articles of evidence, conduct building and area searches, and to protect his handler and other police officers.
