Master Gardener spring gardening workshops offered

Are you thinking about growing your own vegetables this year? Experience the joy of watching your plants grow and the pleasure of eating your own fresh vegetables. The WSU Master Gardeners of Grays Harbor and Pacific counties are here to help. In response to popular demand and the pandemic, the Master Gardeners are offering free, online spring gardening workshops geared to the newer gardeners and gardeners with an interest in learning more. These classes will address topics from planning your garden, to planting and ensuring that it grows successfully.

Classes will run approximately 40 to 60 minutes and include time for questions as well as advice on specific activities on what to do right now in your area.

Workshop schedule

• Thursday, March 18, 6 p.m. — “Plan Your garden Part 1” will discuss how to get started this spring.

• Saturday, April 3, 10 a.m. — “Plan your garden Part 2” will focus on when to get started with putting seeds in the ground.

• Thursday, April 15, 6 p.m. — “More ways to garden” will offers further suggestions for how to maximize your garden space.

• Saturday, May 1, 10 a.m. — “How to plant” starting with the basics of planting including how to plan and where to plant what you want to grow.

• Thursday, May 20, 6 p.m. — “How to maintain” focusing on what to do next with your garden.
