Man with local ties graduates from military training

Jesse M.L. Peterson graduated July 14 from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Airman Peterson trained with the Air Force 324th Training Squadron, Flight 505.

He completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an Associate of Applied Science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Peterson is the son of Nea (Peterson) Rice of Shelby, Montana, and the grandson of Robert Peterson of Montesano. In 2013, he graduated from Eisenhower High School in Yakima.
