Preservation vision for Morck Hotel to be presented at GGH forum Aug. 27

A vision for the preservation of the Morck Hotel and an update on the completed Cosmopolis Mill Creek Dam project will be presented at the Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. August Business Forum Lunch.

Presenters from Forterra will provide background information on their organization and why they’re interested in pursuing the feasibility of the Morck Hotel property. They will discuss the vision they have for the Aberdeen landmark and a status update with proposed work into the first quarter of 2020. Presenters include Forterra’s Chehalis Basin Director Nicholas Carr, Business Development Director Hillary Wilson, and Alison Crowley, Construction and Development Director.

Presenters will include Cosmopolis Mayor Frank Chestnut, City Administrator Darrin Raines, and Mathew Prociv from HDR Engineering.

The event will be held 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27 at the Rotary Log Pavilion, 1401 Sargent Blvd. in Aberdeen.
