Registration open for Grays Harbor Rush youth soccer
Registration for tryouts for the Grays Harbor Rush youth soccer program is now open for youths grades 3-12.
Tryouts will be held at 4:30 p.m. (grades 3-7) and 6:30 p.m. (grades 8-12) Monday through Wednesday, April 6-8, at the Bishop Athletic Center in Aberdeen.

Former Aberdeen standout helps British university to championship
Former Aberdeen High School standout goalkeeper Charlize Gutierrez helped her team, Northumbria University, to a British championship on March 25.
Gutierrez, Northumbria’s starting goal keeper, helped the Northumbria Women’s 2s team to a 2-1 victory in extra time over the Nottingham Women’s 1s in the British Universities & Colleges Sport championship final.
Locked in a scoreless tie at the end of regulation, Northumbria fell behind 1-0 in extra time before scoring a goal less than a minute later and the go-ahead goal shortly thereafter.

Former Aberdeen wrestler wins NCWA title
Former Aberdeen wrestling great Felicia Bell won the National Collegiate Wrestling Association National Championship on Saturday in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Wrestling for the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, Bell won the 124-pound women’s title with a 12-9 victory over Apprentice’s Skylar Schaefer, helping UNLV to a sixth-place finish in the team standings, the best ever for the program.
