Gathering for Oakley Carlson set for Sunday in Montesano

As Jordan Bowers, a prime suspect in the disappearance of her 6-year-old daughter Oakley Carlson, faces a potential 15-year sentence for identity theft, another gathering to advocate for Oakley’s whereabouts will commence on Sunday, Jan. 22, in Montesano. For the ninth time since being declared missing in December 2021, a public gathering in support of 6-year-old Oakley Carlson will commence this weekend in Grays Harbor.

The event, which will be put together by Jordan Wolfe, comes as Oakley’s biological mother, Jordan Bowers, is on trial for four counts of identity theft. Bowers, who is one of the prime suspects in Oakley’s disappearance, faces the possibility of a 15-year sentence in prison if found guilty.

In a public post on social media promoting the upcoming gathering, Wolfe encouraged attendees to bring signs and use the opportunity to make the community’s feelings heard.

“All are welcome to attend. There is to be no disorderly conduct, that is not our mission. We are there to stand and let Jordan (Bowers) hear and see our voices in numbers,” Wolfe said on Facebook. “This is a public peaceful gathering to honor Oakley and stand for the justice she deserves.”

Bowers is currently being held on $25,000 bail at the Grays Harbor County Jail where she has been residing since Sunday, Jan. 15, after being arrested immediately following her release from the Washington Correctional Center for Women. Bowers had just completed a nine-month sentence after being found guilty of child endangerment unrelated to Oakley.

For people who are interested in attending the Gathering for Oakley, the event will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 22, at the Grays Harbor County Jail, in Montesano. Light the Way Missing Persons Advocacy Project will live stream the occasion on their YouTube page for individuals who can’t attend in person.
