Traffic on Highway 12 was blocked by a truck crash that also resulted in downed powerlines on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022.

The Aberdeen Police Department responded to a vehicle crash Thursday morning outside of town involving a log truck and downed power lines.

The accident, which occurred at the intersection of Highway 12 and Sargent Boulevard, had eastbound traffic blocked. Westbound traffic was initially being rerouted south of Montesano, but the westbound lanes were reopened by 10 a.m., according to a social media post. Eastbound traffic stretched as far back as Pioneer Boulevard at one point.

The road was clear and all lanes of traffic were reopened by 2 p.m.
