The Montesano Bulldogs won for the fifth time in a row with a 53-37 victory over the La Center Wildcats on Thursday in La Center.

Raymond head coach Jason Koski said he was proud of the way his players moved the ball in addition to how they boxed out to open the game.

“We ended the first half only allowing Forks (3-2, 2-1) only one offensive rebound, which we have been having a hard time limiting our opponents to,” he said.

Eight of 11 Raymond players scored in the game, led by senior guard Kyra Gardner, who was one assist shy of her second consecutive triple-double with 27 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists and three blocks.

Gardner was also named one of the WIAA Athletes of the Week on Thursday after scoring 34 points in a win over Napavine followed by a triple-double in a victory over Ilwaco before facing off against the Spartans Thursday evening.
