Youth basketball camp in November

The 2019 Grays Harbor Little Dribblers Basketball Camp is set to run through the month of November at Hoquiam High School.

Participants will learn offensive and defensive skills including shooting, ball handling, perimeter and post play.

The camp is for boys and girls in grades K-6 and the cost per player is $40 and includes a Harbor Basketball T-shirt.

The camp will run on Nov. 2, 9, 16 and 30. Grades K-3 sessions will be from 9-10:30 a.m. on those dates while grades 4-6 will run from 11-12:30 p.m.

Participants need to bring basketball gear, including shoes, socks and shorts.

Elma Little League to hold annual meeting

Elma Little League will be holding its annual meeting at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6 above the concessions stand at 10th Street Park in Elma.

The meeting will feature a review of last season, updating bylaws and holding the election of the 2020 league board.

Grays Harbor Country Club Best Ball Results

Grays Harbor Country Club held its Men’s Best Ball Tournament on Sept. 22-23.

A tie between two sets of players in the low gross competition saw the duo of John Stullick and Tom Cosper match Ed Klein and Ronnie Espedal Jr. with identical scores of 145.

The pair of Fritz Bramstedt and Ilias Murr won the low net competition with a score of 118, five strokes better than the second-place score of Ron Martinez and Moe Garcia.
