Bobcat swimmers earn four state berths in capturing Grays Harbor Relays

Qualifying an individual and three relay teams for state in its opening meet, Aberdeen dominated the Grays Harbor Girls Swimming Relays on Thursday at the YMCA of Grays Harbor.

Winning seven of the 12 events, the Bobcats amassed 120 points, 28 ahead of Class 3A Capital. Six teams competed in the event.

Swimming the opening leg of the 400 freestyle relay, Aberdeen freshman Annika Eisele met state qualifying standards in 100-yard freestyle with a time of 57.46.

The Bobcats also earned state berths in the 200 medley (Kayleia Sias, Mari Rabung, Eisele and Karli Heikkila), 200 free (Eisele, Katie Lewis, Heikkila, Emily May) and 400 free (Eisele, Lewis, Heikkila, May) relays.
