Kasilof resident, Mr. Victor E. Arnold, 86, died Friday, May 25, 2018, at his home in Kasilof, Alaska.

Kasilof resident, Mr. Victor E. Arnold, 86, died Friday, May 25, 2018, at his home in Kasilof, Alaska. Victor was born April 1, 1932, in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated high school in 1950 joined the Navy right out of high school, given a draft notice. He served in the U.S. Navy Sea Bees for 21 and a half years. From 1996 to 2003 he lived in Texas, from 2003 to 2006 he lived in Montana. Most recently he lived in Kasilof. He retired from the U.S. Navy from 1951 – 1971 and from 1971 he worked for Weyhauser Paper Mill before retirement in 1985. Victor was a member of the LDS Church from 1977 to current. Victor loved building, remodeling kitchens, building shelves, and collecting remote control cars.

He was preceded in death by first wife, Yoshko; parents George and Anecia Arnold; and sister, Aleta who passed May 26, 2018.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy L. Arnold; children, Aki (Hazel) Arnold of Oregon, Rick Arnold of Oregon, Kimberley (Randy) Lewis of Kasilof, George Richard Arnold of Oregon and Ronald (Cookie) Lorenzen of Wasilla; sister, Donna, Loretta, 30 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, his dog Chewy and Cat Abbie and many other sisters, brothers, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Public viewing and service will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018, at Anchorage Funeral Home & Crematory – 1800 Dare Ave. – Anchorage, Alaska 99515. Kim and Brother Wright will be officiating. The grave dedication and blessing will follow services at 2:30 p.m. at Fort Richardson National Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Rick, Ron, Aki, Richard, Treven and Thomas.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Victor to the ASPCA – 3710 Woodland Drive – Anchorage, Alaska 99517.
