Teresa “Teri” M. Walther, a resident of South Bend, passed away peacefully at her home on Jan. 3, 2021. She was 63.

Teri was born Oct. 3, 1957, in Renton, Washington, to Dale Walther and Rosalie Slagle.

Teri enjoyed craftwork and collecting coffee cups, which she found in the places she visited. She was a strong, kindred spirit with animals. If there was a stray, ill or abused animal, she would take it under her caring wing. She especially pampered her pet cats and dogs.

Teri also enjoyed the many road trips she took with her longtime partner, Doug Doyle. A particularly memorable trip was a cruise to the Caribbean.

In addition to her longtime partner and soul mate, Doug, Teri is survived by her mother; sons: Jamie Churchill, Joshua Young and Brandon Doyle; daughters: Jenny Doyle and Nicole Pickernell, along with 12 grandchildren. She is also survived by many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father.

A memorial will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in her memory to any charity. She is greatly missed by all who knew her.
