Stan Hallett (aka Stanley, Mr. Hallett, Dad, Grandpa, and other lesser known titles) was born in Enumclaw, Wash. to John Allan and Elizabeth Hallett.

Stan Hallett (aka Stanley, Mr. Hallett, Dad, Grandpa, and other lesser-known titles) was born in Enumclaw, Wash., to John Allan and Elizabeth Hallett. He joined the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. After leaving the service, Stan completed his teaching degree from the University of Denver in 1952. He completed his Masters degree in Elementary School Science in 1966.

While in Denver, Stan married Grace Hawk. He fathered four children, three sons and a daughter. He began teaching in Montrose, Colo. and then moved to Ocosta, Wash. to teach at the Ocosta School District from where he taught from 1955 to 1982.

During his life Mr. Hallett was a logger, coffee delivery man, steel worker, teacher, and a skilled mechanic of large construction equipment, lawn mowers and every size in between. He was a proficient hunter, fisherman, beekeeper, woodworker, motorcyclist, woodcutter, cornet player, reader, dancer, gardener, orchardist, clammer, cook, sudoku-solver, food bank worker, board member of the Hoquiam Senior Center, father, grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of 10.

Mr. Hallett was known for his strong convictions, his laughter and teasing all of his little boys and girls.

He leaves behind the love of his life, Dottie Hallett, and was predeceased by two of his grandchildren Stanley and Rachel Hallett.
