Sherian Mae Tuntland

Sherian Mae Tuntland went to be with her Lord on Feb. 2, 2023, at her residence in King City.

Sherian Mae Tuntland, age 80, a resident of King City, Oregon, went to be with her Lord on Feb. 2, 2023, at her residence in King City. Sharon Mae was born on July 19, 1942, in Auburn, Washington to Everett and Norma (Bogar) Vance. When Sharon was in her teens, she was adopted by Orville and Evelyn Dotson and took the name Sherian Mae Dotson.

Sherian grew up in Elma and graduated from Elma High School in 1960 and shortly thereafter was married to Kirby Tuntland. She attended Grays Harbor College for office occupations. Sherian would end up spending most of her life in the Tigard, Oregon area working as a commercial property manager.

Sherian loved family and life and was very proud of her three sons. She was an excellent seamstress sewing clothes for her loved ones and an outstanding chef for her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Norma Vance, Orville and Evelyn Dotson and sister Suzanne Taylor.

Sherian is survived by three sons: Troy and his wife Candace Tuntland of McCleary, Washington; Tracy and his wife Roxane Tuntland of Forest Grove, Oregon; and Cory and his wife Kari Lynn Tuntland of Eugene, Oregon; three brothers and a sister: Jay Boyd of Castle Rock, Washington, Al Dotson of Elma, Washington, Norm Vance of Gresham, Oregon and Julie Vance of New York. She has four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service at the McCleary Cemetery on Feb. 22, 2023 at 1 p.m. Following the service, a celebration of life will be held at the McCleary Community Center.
