Russell M. Drake Sr., formerly of Hoquiam, was born on Aug. 31, 1943, in Tacoma, Washington. He passed away on July 1, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nevada from heart failure due to complications from diabetes.

Russell is survived by his two children: Christine (Tom) Sherrets and Russell M. Drake Jr. all of Las Vegas. Russell also leaves three brothers and one sister: Rod Drake of Aberdeen, Fred Drake of Hoquiam, David (Shawnie) Drake of Aberdeen and Karla Drake as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

Russell worked for Puget Sound Truck Lines for 32 years. After retiring he moved to Laughlin, Nevada where he spent 15 years.

The last 18 months he has resided in Las Vegas to be around his children.

At his request there will be no services.
