Robert Gordon Ruiz, 50, a resident of Montesano, died Dec. 25, 2019, at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle, Washington.

Robert was born Oct. 12, 1969, in Aberdeen, Washington, to Robert Martin Ruiz and Kathryn Rae Ruiz (Cranford). He graduated in 1988 from Montesano High School.

Robert worked, most recently for Cross and Crown Logging in Yamhill, Oregon. Prior to that he worked for Allied Timber in Craig, Alaska, Colburn Timber and Double D Logging of Hoquiam, Washington, Papac Logging and Vessey Logging.

He enjoyed hiking and camping.

Robert is survived by his parents, Robert and Kathryn Ruiz of Napavine, Washington; his daughters, Jalin and Jordan Ruiz of Hoquiam, Washington, and his sister, Angela Fenn (Stephen) of Shelton, Washington.

There will be a celebration of Robert’s life Jan. 11, 2020, from 2-6 p.m. at the Aberdeen Elks Lodge, 1712 S. Boone St., Aberdeen, Washington.
