Robert A. Webber, 69, a lifetime resident of the Harbor, died at Grays Harbor Health and Rehabilitation Center, Aberdeen, Tuesday, May 1, 2018.

Robert A. Webber, 69, a lifetime resident of the Harbor, died at Grays Harbor Health and Rehabilitation Center, Aberdeen, Tuesday, May 1, 2018.

Bob was born in Raymond, Wash., the son of Delbert and Lucille (Aiken) Webber, Sept. 24, 1948. He was raised in Aberdeen and had graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1966. He entered the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and returned to work for Grays Harbor Veneer in the 1970s. He would then work for ITT Rayonier and the Aberdeen Fire Department before becoming an officer with the Hoquiam Police Department for 11 years, retiring in 1985 with disabililty.

Bob was a member of the Eagles Aerie of Hoquiam and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Hoquiam.

He is survived by two daughters: Bobette Webber, Elma and Kristen Bratlie, Echo, Ore.; two sons: Kenneth Webber, Seattle and Patrick Davidson, Dayton, Wash.; a brother: Richard Webber, Copalis Crossing; and also five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Ronald.

An urn committal will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 25, in Fern Hill Cemetery, Aberdeen.
