Patrick Terrence Jones, 88, went to be with his Lord on July 8, 2021, in Olympia, Washington.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Darlene Jones (Chandler) of Newport, Washington and Spokane, Washington. They were married on Sept. 24, 1955 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Patrick was born on Feb. 7, 1933, in Garwood, Idaho.

He is survived by his son, William Kelly Jones (Susan) of Carson City, Nevada; his daughter, Karen Louise Schmuck (Gary) of Lake Stevens, Washington; his daughter Patti Anne Young (Paul) of Olympia, Washington; his brother, Jim Jones of Deer Park, Washington; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and many more nieces and nephews and cousins.

His son Justin Keith Jones preceded him in death.

Pat enlisted in the Navy during the Korean War, in 1950, until 1953 where he served on the oil tanker, Guadeloupe. He also volunteered to drive ambulances for the Marines, carrying injured back to the base. He worked in the woods, but his greatest job was sawing shingles, which he did in Washington and Oregon.

One of his fondest pleasures was being among his friends at the Church of God in South Aberdeen, Washington, He was a prayer warrior and loved by all his congregation. He also enjoyed being a member of the Old Time Fiddler’s Association, out of Elma, Washington. Pat played the guitar, mouth organ, mandolin and the fiddle and he also enjoyed singing the old time music that the seniors remember in their younger days. He traveled to a lot of places, and saw a lot of things, but his greatest pleasure was being with family.

Pat will be greatly missed, but his love will carry on for all of us.
