Patricia Earline Bishop went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on June 26, 2018, after a long battle with cancer. She was born on March 29, 1941, in Sheridan, Wyo. and moved with her parents to Hoquiam at five years of age.

She met the love of her live at nine years old, telling her parents she knew her destiny. At age 15, on March 1, 1957, she married Paul Bishop with permission from her parents, so long as she finished high school. She was married, finished high school one year early, and built a family home in Copalis Beach with her new husband. She resided there for 61 years raising five children, Donny Bishop (Kristen) of Ocean Shores, Tami Holman (Don) of Auburn, Paula Gibson of Auburn, Patrick Bishop (Pieper) of Copalis Beach and Aaron Bishop and his fiancée Alicia of Longview; and welcomed many others.

From these five children, she was blessed with 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Ron Wheeler of Oklahoma and Rob Hathaway of Vancouver Island, BC. She was preceded in death by both parents, parents-in-law, and one grandson, Aric, who welcomed her with open arms and Squishy hugs: in Heaven. John 3:16

As a young family, they enjoyed summer camping trips and weekend get-togethers with the family. Holidays were always a special time for her, the entire family together with kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Annual trips to Reno were always anticipated with excitement.

At Wheeler Cottages, her family owned camp-ground, she began her work life. Once married, she worked at a cannery cleaning clams. Then she was a waitress at the Surf and Sand restaurant in Copalis Beach, being a loving mom the entire time.

Patty will be deeply missed by many and was absolutely adored by Paul, the love of her life.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018, at the Copalis Beach Community Church with a potluck reception following.
