Chuck was born to Alfred E. Burkey and Barbara R. (Nee Nelson) Burkey at Downingtown (Dorlan’s Mills) Chester County, Pennsylvania. He attended Downingtown area schools and was a graduate of Mt. Hood Community College, Gresham, Oregon.
