Leonard R. Felts, 92, died June 18, 2020, in Aberdeen. Mr. Felts was born Aug. 22, 1927, in Clatskanie, Oregon, the son of Ivan B. Felts and Rhoda Pearl Felts (Maulding). He attended schools in Aberdeen and joined the Merchant Marines in Seattle in 1944. He sailed the Pacific and Atlantic oceans and joined the U.S. Army in 1950-52 and 1956-1974, serving 20 years and retiring from the Army in 1974.

Mr. Felts was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars and the American Legion of Aberdeen.

He is survived by a niece, Laraine Clardy, of Lacey and nephews, Teddy and Tyler Shann of Olympia, Joshua Wheeler of Lacey and Mark Randall of Olympia. A sister Mary Ann Shann-Fetty and a brother Ivan B. Felts Jr. died previously.

At Mr. Felts request, there will be no service. Private inurnment will take place at Wynooche Cemetery in Montesano.
