Leonard James Wisner passed away peacefully at his home in Menlo on Friday, July 7, 2017.

Leonard James Wisner passed away peacefully at his home in Menlo on Friday, July 7, 2017. His beloved wife of 61 years, Aina, passed Sept. 8, 2012.

Leonard is survived by five children, Sylvia Harris from Menlo, Linda and Walt Wilson from Chehalis, Mary Wisner from Tacoma, John and Michelle Wisner from Longview, James Wisner and his fiancée Annette Church from Longview; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his faithful lab Babe.

Leonard retired as a millwright, from Raymond Weyerhaeuser in 1990, after 40 years. He then went on to be a volunteer for 25 years with the Senior Companion program. He loved working with his clients. He and Aina were long time members of the United Methodist church of Raymond and for the past 5 years, members of the Willapa Methodist Church. They love going to craft fairs and selling their world famous strawberry shortcake.

He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers Leonard requested denotations to be made to Willapa Methodist Church.

Celebration of life will be on Sunday, July 30, at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church of Willapa with light fare potluck to follow.

Direction is by the Coleman Mortuary, 422 – 5th Street in Hoquiam, Wash.
