Lawrence Edward Gakin

Lawrence Edward Gakin passed away on Dec. 8, 2022, in Lakewood, Washington. He was born on July 6, 1957 in Aberdeen and attended Ocosta High School.

He served a short time in the Navy. He worked as a logger, cook, bartender and as a chauffeur for Northwest Excursion in Hoquiam.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, clam digging and camping and really enjoyed the outdoors. He also like to play pool, participate in dart leagues and do van runs with his brother-in-law.

Larry is survived by his sons David of Aberdeen and Jordan of Bellingham, a sister Kathy and brother-in-law Roscoe Crowell and four grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of his life at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at the Parkway Tavern, 417 N. Park St. in Aberdeen.
