Kimberly Ann Ross-Potter-Rich

Kimberly Ann Ross-Potter-Rich left this world on May 21, 2022.

Kimberly Ann Ross-Potter-Rich,who was born in Portland, Oregon, and lived in Elma and Richland, Washington; Albany, Oregon; Vancouver and Loon Lake Washington, left this world to be in a better place among the angels, free from pain and troubles on May 21, 2022. No more will she have to suffer from the health issues resulting from end stage renal failure that plagued her whole life — at no fault of her own. Passing in Spokane she was lovingly surrounded by her father Louie, sister Danita Ross, husband William, children Aaron and Rachelle Potter in the days preceding her death.

A celebration of life will be held Friday Aug. 26, at 11 a.m. at the Montesano Church of God, 317 E. Spruce Ave. Montesano, Washington

Kim is survived by her father Louie Ross, husband Bill, son Aaron and daughter-in-law Shannon Potter, daughter Rachelle, and sister Danita; as well as extended family members Eli Rich and his four children Heidi, Aiden, Taylinn and Stathen, and Shannon and Jared Hansen and their four children: Ethan, Logan, Kiara and Amelia.

Kim was born on March 28, 1957 to her parents Louie and Ann in Portland, later graduating from Elma High School, Warner Pacific University in Portland and then receiving her bachelor’s degree in social work from Western Washington University in Bellingham.

She went on to marry Robert Potter and have two children, Aaron and Rachelle, born in Richland. After her divorce, as a single parent, Kim embraced the challenges and financial adversities of raising two children by herself and became a social worker at the Fresenius Kidney Care dialysis unit in Albany where she made life-long friends with some of the staff.

A little later Kim was married to Bill by Kim’s father, in their Vancouver home, with both of their mothers attending before they passed the following year.

She loved to travel, go to church, sing in choir, be in nature, garden, read, cook and just talk with friends. She moved north of Spokane on their rural acreage a few years ago to live out her years with Bill.

May we never forget the amazingly strong, smart, funny, friendly, outgoing, talented, caring woman that lived life to the fullest! She will be sorely missed by all that knew her.
