Keenan Alan Benson, 29, a lifetime Aberdeen resident passed away on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, at his home.

Keenan Alan Benson, 29, a lifetime Aberdeen resident and former lumber worker passed away on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, at his home.

Keenan was born on March 6, 1993, to parents Gregory Mullins and Catherine Benson in Aberdeen, Washington. On Feb. 10, 1995, when Keenan was just a toddler, he tragically lost his mother. He remained living in Aberdeen with his maternal grandparents Melvin and Wanda Benson. He attended Aberdeen schools, later obtaining a GED through Grays Harbor College.

Keenan began working as a green chain puller with Hoquiam Plywood. He later met Keisha Eastman. They began dating, but later split and remained close friends. On Jan. 24, 2013, Keenan’s son, Kaiden Alan Benson was born. Keenan continued with Hoquiam Plywood, but when the business had to shut down for a period of time, he started working with Girard Wood.

Keenan enjoyed playing basketball, weight lifting and watching football. His biggest joy was spending time with his son. Keenan was loved by many and will greatly be missed.

Keenan is preceded in death by his mother Catherine Benson and grandmother Sandi Mullins.

Keenan is survived by his son Kaiden Alan Benson; father Greg Mullins of Aberdeen, Washington; grandparents, Melvin and Wanda Benson of Aberdeen, Washington; brother Henry Mullins, who is currently serving in the military; aunts: Chris (Don) Lewin of Aberdeen, Washington; Danette (Alan) of Stanfield, Oregon and Glenda of Aberdeen, Washington; uncles: Terry (Barbie) Benson of Tacoma, Washington; Kevin ( Irina) Benson of Bothell, Washington and Jeff Mullins; and numerous cousins.
