John Dale Bogar

John Dale Bogar, passed away Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, in Bellevue.

Loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, John Dale Bogar, passed away Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, in Bellevue, Washington. John was born to Alvin and Pearl (Plumb) Bogar, May 6, 1948, in Aberdeen, Washington. He was raised in Elma, but also lived in Maine, Florida and Virginia in his younger years.

On July 2, 1970, John married Carol Ann Ralkey and they were married for 51 years.

John worked for Simpson Door Plant as a door sapper/stock rustler from July 5, 1983 to Jan. 11, 2019. He enjoyed the outdoors- hunting, fishing and gardening.

John is survived by his wife Carol Bogar; sons Jeremy Bogar of McCleary, Washington; Josh Bogar of Ocean Shores, Washington; and Blake Simmons of Shelton, Washington; daughters Jodi Sund and Jeri Bogar, both of Elma, Washington; brothers Wayne Hayney of Aberdeen, Washington and Richie Root of McCleary, Washington; sisters Judy Estes of Elma, Washington; MaryLou Tisler of Montesano, Washington and Nancy Bogar of Elma, Washington. John also had six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be held Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, at the Elma Eagles at 11 a.m., followed by the burial at 1:30 p.m. at the Oddfellows Cemetery in Elma.
